Enno Liermann
Enno Liermann is an International Visiting Graduate Student from Germany and a member of the Continuum Robotics Laboratory (CRL). As a Master Student in Robotics and Mechatronics, he is part of the department of Mechanical Engineering at Leibniz University of Hanover. His research interests are Parallel Robots, Parallel Continuum Robots and Human Robot Collaboration.
Before coming to University of Toronto as an international student in September 2022, Enno finished his Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics in the faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Leibniz University of Hanover. His Bachelor Thesis, supervised by the Institute of Manufacturing, was about active magnetic spindle damping of machine tools. His interest in Robotics was later sparked by his next research topic about deployment of parallel robots in human robot collaboration applications, which he wrote a thesis about at the Institute of Mechatronic Systems. Knowing the boundaries of rigid body robots, Enno decided to write his Master Thesis in the field of continuum robotics and applied for a position at the CRL.
