Welcome Georg!

Today, Georg Boettcher, graduate student in the M.Sc. Biomedical Engineering programme at Leibniz University Hannover, Germany joins CRL as an international visiting graduate students for 7 months.

Georg attended courses taught by Jessica Burgner-Kahrs back at Leibniz University Hannover, i.e. Continuum Robotics and Programming Mechatronics Systems. Last year, he joint our parent Laboratory for Continuum Robotics in Hannover, Germany for a student research project on feasibility and workspace analysis of planar parallel kinematic manipulators using continuous chains. After learning that the lab moves to UofT, he took the opportunity for a research stay abroad to follow his passion for continuum robotics research and experiencing Canadian academics and a vibrant city.

We are happy that Georg chose our lab for his master's thesis research on parallel continuum robots and are excited to see his project progressing! Georg is a recipient of the Leibniz PROMOS and Ulderup fellowships to support his research stay. Welcome Georg!
